I've always thought there's something rather special about the Baltic. Perhaps it's the beautiful old towns, the long summer evenings or simply the feeling that every port has a story to tell.

This cruise took me from the colourful streets of Copenhagen and Gdańsk to the medieval beauty of Tallinn and the elegant architecture of Riga. Every stop was different, and every one left a lasting impression.

Of course, I was also on the lookout for film connections. Tallinn featured in Tenet, while nearby Berlin has appeared in everything from Cabaret to Bridge of Spies. Once you start looking, cinema seems to pop up everywhere.

For me, that's one of the joys of travelling. Every destination has its own history, its own character... and often a wonderful story waiting to be discovered.
